Mr. Antonio Fernandes Toninho Costa is the National Secretary for the Promotion and Defense of the Rights of Older Persons of the Ministry of Woman, Family and Human Rights of Brazil. He has previously served as the President the National Indian Foundation of the federal government. He has also worked for the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies, the Pan American Health Organization, the National Council for Indigenous Policies, among others. He holds a postgraduate degree in Indigenous Health from the Federal University of São Paulo, a postgraduate degree in Health Surveillance from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, a postgraduate degree in Counselling and Psychology from AVM Faculdade Integrada, a postgraduate degree in Oral-maxillo-facial Surgery from the Medical University Camilo Castelo Branco, a bachelor’s degree in Theology and a bachelor’s degree in Odontology.
